This month there is a coming event,
It is a 'Beauty Contest' that held at a college,
It is an event that hold by the japanese cultural club of the college...
This event have raised up so mny questions and critics by the ppl around,
and so i have to talk about my opinion about this event....
It is actually a good start for the college to hold such a event,
it shows tat the college and the student have been more open minded to accept this kind of event,
and it is not easy to be the pioneer....
because most of the time the pioneer will get a lot of critics from the ppl...
so it should be encourage for the innovation...
But,
i have to say tat tis event have lacked of the quality control,
from the aspect of organizing the event,
they did it so rash...
for the public its just looked like they are just simply organize it...
lacked of planning and well management...
for instance who should be the judges, how is the measurement setting...etc...
lacked of pre-event activities like talent searching and quality, publicity and etc...
And from their comment on their official website,
i found out tat they also lacked of the post-event planning...
just like after the event is there any planning for the winner and etc...
when asking about what is their objective to held this event,
their objectives are really unclear and didnt make any benefits to the club nor the competitors...
no crisis management or backup planning....
how if the show with no audience attend?? haiz...
In another view,
i m really sad for the invited performers,
they have practice for long times but with no audience,
this is so insulting the performers and their efforts....
I felt more sad to the competitors...
they have become the real victims....i think...
One more things to say,
their Ideology is really weird or strange...
too subjective and somehow is unacceptable for critics,
its not wrong to admit fault,
but keep protesting to cover up the mistake....
The worst is.....
if they even dont know what is the problem and still keep blaming others....
By the way,
i m not just simply critics,
i really hope for a better future for their club,
and also the quality of the college clubs.....
And this should be the jobs of the student affair department...

i agree with ur views,
actually i noticed the way they were organizing the activity was very "unprofessional"
i also noticed that the organizers were rock-headed, and refuse to listen to peoples "advise".
also i have some views that are not suitable to write down here, but we can talk later.
but about the "quality ctrl" thing, i think it's not totally the Student Affairs dept's prob(to be fair), i think there are also other body's that should help in monitoring the quality, including Student Union.
First, Student Affair dunno y they approved this activity with no quality ctrl and without looking into their planings.
Second, General Affairs dept also approved them using the venue in sch.
Third, Hostel club also co-organize?? but frm what i heard, they no much coorperation between 2 societies. Hostel warden also din oversee this?
Last bt nt least, Student Union still approved the fundings(portion). (which i think it's a mistake).
i hope they will have a review on this activity which to me "failed" badly.( of course, that's my opinion)

Actually they can get money frm student union and hostel is bcoz in the club got people know people in student union and hostel quite well~~

of cuz i really hope tat the level of quality among the clubs can be raised up to certain level....
